Information about opening hours

The Wurstelprater area is open daily, all day long, with free admission.

During the summer season from 15 March to 31 October, the Wurstelprater is generally open every day, all day, with free admission.

Individual rides and attractions may have different opening hours depending on the season and weather conditions.  If it is raining heavily or very windy, most rides will be closed, even during the summer season from 15 March to 31 October.

From Monday to Friday, most rides are open from 12 noon to 10 p.m., and slightly earlier and later during the summer months.

On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, most Prater businesses open at 11:00 or earlier, and many stay open until midnight or later.

From 1 November to 14 March, the Wurstelprater operates on a limited basis. This means that not all businesses are necessarily open, even in good weather.

Information on accessibility

Many of our facilities are already equipped to be barrier-free.

Nevertheless, there are some rides where, for safety reasons, it is simply not possible to allow persons with disabilities access or a ride.

Please enquire at the respective attractions. Where possible and depending on the circumstances on site, the staff will be happy to help you so that nothing stands in the way of a great experience at the Wurstelprater.

There are several accessible toilets on the premises, which can be opened with a Euro Key. These toilets can be found using the filter function on the home page.

Information about payment

There are no general admission fees to the Wurstelprater; the area is open daily and all day long with free admission. Attractions and establishments must be paid in cash at the time of use. Many attractions also offer cashless payment options.

TIP: Pay with the PRATERCARD

You can charge the Pratercard online in advance with an amount between €10 and €250 and use it to make cashless payments at a range of attractions and restaurants.

Information about bringing dogs

In principle, dogs are allowed in the Wurstelprater. Please note that all dogs must be muzzled and kept on a leash in places with large crowds, at events, on public transport, in restaurants and in shops. You are, of course, responsible for cleaning up after your pet.

However, please bear in mind that visiting an amusement park can be extremely stressful for your pet: unfamiliar smells, lots of people, loud noises, fast movements, bright lights and constantly new impressions. All of this can unsettle, frighten and overwhelm your pet.

If there is no other option – and please do not leave your pet in the car or tied up anywhere! – then treat them to a visit to the Green Prater before and/or after, in one of the two large dog exercise areas at Rustenschacherallee (near the Stadium car-park or end station Liliputbahn) or in the  Hauptallee/Kaiserallee area (End station tram number 2 or Rotunde station of the Liliputbahn).
